1)   Checking results of the last dilution (Indian C which we made it in school and Greek yogurt):

Indian Culture:

-      Counted colonies in 10^-1 plate: 112

-      CFUs: 1.12x10⁴

-      For Serving Size: 1.68x10⁶

Greek:

-      Most colonies on 10^-1plate

-      Did not see many colonies

2)   Diluting Albanian yogurt

·     7/24/2018 TUE:

1)   Results of Albanian yogurt:

-      CFUs: 457 x 1000/ 0.1 (ml): 4.6 x 10⁶

-      For Serving Size (150 ml): 6.9 x 10⁸

There were so many colonies that we had to dilute it again to the lower dilution factor.

Because we saw little bacterial growth with Greek yogurt, we made fresh Greek yogurt today. Also we diluted Albanian yogurt to the lower dilution factor (10^-5) because we had so many colonies on the plates. This time, we used different media (MRS) to get better results (MRS is more specific to lacto bacilli)

1)   Results of Albanian yogurt on MRS plate:   

•  CFUs (10^-5): 1.9 x 10⁷
• For Serving Size (150 ml): 2.85 x 10⁹
