Our mission: Yogurt and other "probiotic rich" foods are advertised to contain enough good bacteria to make a difference. Our mission is to scientifically determine whether or not these products contain a sufficient amount of probiotics to have an affect on individuals. This will be done by testing different types of yogurts and eventually other fermented foods.

Objectives: Over the next five weeks, the group plans on measuring the amount of probiotics within regular yogurt, flavored yogurt, and Kefir. Each team member will be assigned one of the three types of the yogurt. With each type, the yogurt will be collected and then diluted through multiple dilution factors. After the dilution, each sample will placed into the incubator. This process will done 3 times per each yogurt to gain the median amount of probiotics within each type.
